What are the lifestyle opportunities in and around Spanaway, Washington. Are there hiking clubs, biking trails, civic clubs, golf clubs, local arts and theater, lakes, streams, fishing, boating, camping or other types of lifestyle opportunities?

Ah, Spanaway and the little piece of Tacoma that is tucked nicely between Parkland and Spanaway.
There is Spanaway Lake Golf Course and about 14 miles south there is Tanawax Golf Course, Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) has a 9-hole course that is open to the general public.
Adjacent to Spanaway Lake Golf Course is Lake Spanaway Park for your fishing, boating, kayaking, water-skiing, bike riding adults or children, and walking pleasure. You can picnic here as well. Got kids? Are you or tem interested in learning how to ice skate? Harry Sprinker Recreation facility is across the street from Spanaway Lake Golf Course. Lots of different activities are offered here…you can even get connected to skiing through this facility.
